Wet-lab services

Molecular Biology Laboratory Services

Vivofold plans to offer molecular-biology bench services: PCR and qPCR assays, gene cloning, plasmid preparation and construct verification. The service is not yet open; registering interest helps us prioritise.

Agarose gel of PCR products: a 1 kb ladder (L), six samples with the expected 750-bp product and a no-template control (NTC). Lane 6 shows a weak product, a non-specific band and primer-dimer.
This service opens with our laboratory. Register your interest and we will contact you when it does.

Who it is for

  • Research groups without capacity for routine molecular work
  • Start-ups needing constructs and assays
  • Teams needing qPCR validation of sequencing results

What you send us

  • Samples or sequencesTemplates, target sequences or constructs to build.
  • RequirementsQuantities, quality criteria and timelines.

What you receive

  • Constructs, plasmids or assay data
  • QC report
  • Protocols used

Methodology

How the work runs

Each step is agreed with you and documented. Typical tools: Thermal cyclers and real-time PCR · Electrophoresis and documentation · Sequence-design software

  4. DeliveryMaterials and data with a QC report.

Quality controls

Checks applied to every project

  • Documented protocols and controls
  • Sequence verification of constructs
  • QC report with every delivery

Scope and limits

What the work can and cannot show
